Some people were now waiting for a table and the waitress was a bit impatient.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201935 cents,\u2019 she said brusquely.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The little boy again counted the coins. \u2018I\u2019ll have the plain ice cream,\u2019 he said.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on the table, and walked away.
