His mind went to his fried chicken recipe, which his friends and family loved.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>He left his home state of Kentucky and traveled throughout the country, trying to sell his recipe to restaurants. He even offered the recipe for free, asking for only a small chunk of the money that was earned.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>However, most of the restaurants declined his offer. In fact,\u00a01009 restaurants said\u00a0no.<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>But even after all of the rejections, he persisted.\u00a0He believed in himself and his chicken recipe.<\/em> <em>When he visited restaurant <\/em>number <em>1010, he got a\u00a0YES.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His name? <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Colonel_Sanders\">Colonel Hartland Sanders<\/a>, founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This story demonstrates the power of <strong>persistence<\/strong>.\u00a0You need to have confidence in yourself\u00a0and believe in your work for other people to believe it as well.
